And also, as with everything else, when we insert our own thoughts and ways or the culture’s thoughts and ways, it can end in disaster. But as much as we try to stick with God’s principles, we often need a few reminders or refreshers to keep His ways in mind.

Over the last year or so it has been suggested more than once that we hold some kind of marriage seminar/conference/retreat, etc., so that the couples in our church could be given this refresher course in what God has given to us. So, on Friday evening, February 13th, and Saturday morning/afternoon, February 14th, we will hold a Marriage Check-Up series of studies to remind us of what God has to say regarding our marriages.

There will be two sessions on Friday evening:

6:00-6:45 PM – God’s Design for Marriage

7:00-7:45 PM – Trouble in Paradise

We’ll then have four more sessions on Saturday with a special luncheon together:

10:00-10:45 AM – God’s Design for Wives

11:00-11:45 AM – God’s Design for Husbands

12:00-1:00 PM – Luncheon

1:00-1:45 PM – Spirit-Filled Marriage

2:00-2:45 PM – Q&A

Each session will be a very casual open discussion format as we engage with and unpack what the Bible teaches. We will not have any embarrassing moments of putting anybody on the spot, and this will not be the place to air any grievances – just studying the Bible and answering clarifying questions so we can all apply what Scripture teaches. This should be a fun time of celebrating God’s design and growing in our understanding together.
There is a sign-up sheet on the Welcome Cart at the church and/or you can respond to the event on the church Facebook page, website Events, or app. And this is open to other couples in the community if you would like to help spread the word or invite them. Please indicate your attendance (and others) as soon as you can so we can properly plan for the luncheon.

Love & Blessings,

Pastor Al

Register Here
